I am... If there were Bi-Weekly rides set up around Vancouver, North Van, Burnaby, New West, Surrey and Richmond areas, would anyone attend regularly? I am trying to set up some kind of ride that will be non-competitive and be a large loop of an area. It will start and finish in the same location, probably a park or some other cheap place we can gather at the end for a cool down and to talk about cycling and shit. I was thinking 20-40km routes. Fixed gear and Single speed only, or not. Depends on interest. I just wanna get together with some nice people on a regular occasion and ride.

Is anyone down for this idea, if I get enough interest I will get to work to make this happen before June starts.

Most of my bike builds are not to epic deserving their own thread but I am putting together 2 bikes for 3 months light touring so I thought I would start a thread and may include updates from the road here.

First off my cannon dale touring bike. Pullled out of storage with a bent derailer hanger and basicaly needing a new rear rim (bent from polo) and a drop bar set up. I am also hoping to have a front disk and full 4 bag capacity.
It was stickered when I got it, thanks jess(ocb) for the 2 derailer hangers.

Second bike is my girl friends vitali road bike. I am looking to put [edit] long cage rear der. For more range and full bags in the back and light duty front rack fo bags. Clamp to fork type.

More Photo's and updates when I get to a real computer.

TOUR: start ing in halifax I will ride around for a week or 2 before hayley arrives then we will tour together. Randomly riding where the wind takes us.
Including: vague plans to spend 3 weeks to a month touring/camping/wwoofing newfound land!

fresh reminder to be careful out there at the start of busy season and another reason for downtown style bike lanes and maybe choosing side routes. i am not blaming the victim im merely saying bike routes are part of your safety strategy, so weigh your risks.
