I always wanted one of these frames growing up as a bmx kid. I found this one for a good deal a few years ago. I don't ride bmx as much as I use to and I don't think I'll build it up as I already have a newer bmx. I'm thinking about selling it, but I don't know if it would be worth it. It doesn't take up much space in my apartment.

What would you do with it?

Big loss for Burnaby. What's left - Jubilee behind Metrotown, Edmonds, almost in New West and Sharpey's at the east end of Hastings near SFU? It's always been so nice to have a cool shop like the Bike Doctor in the middle of MetroVan cycling routes.

All the best Paul!

I been here now for just over a month.

I have seen exactly one cyclist riding a road bike. The rest (and it's only the poor that ride here and very few of them at that) are on variations of k-mart specials and flying pigeons. Traffic is insane and the air is filthy. I do a silent mental facepalm every time I read some thread complaining about Vancouver traffic now.

Still waiting for my touring rigs to show up, they're being shipped by sea. Two mountain bikes plus some panniers and stuff bought at the last minute. No idea if I will actually be able to do bike touring at least in this area... a couple weeks ago did a 7 hour drive/camp in the desert, 300 km with no h20 and 40 degrees makes it a dubious proposition but we'll see.

Here is a pic of another local species ... nice sturdy rack on front, and check the footbrake. These are all over. The other neat thing to see is dudes biking with 6 foot long trays of bread held over their heads. Don't know how they do that.

Same story every fall: the first heavy rain and I'm straggling to stop. I guess it's just a contrast between dry and wet traction, so I need more rains to adopt my riding style to weather :)
Anyway, I'm open to any suggestions on how to improve the stopping power.
My current setup:
Paddywagon, some old alexrims + Tektro dual pivot callipers and levers + noname (aztech? ) inserts.
The options as I can see them:
1. Decent inserts. Koolstop salmon? Would it make big difference?
2. Rims clean-up. I've heard that cleaning rims with rubbing alcohol improves traction. Never tried myself, looks like outdated advice from steel rims era for me. Is it?
3. Upgrade to front disc brake. I can get some cyclocross fork, but it's fairly longer than my road fork. I guess 2cm difference in crown to axle length would screw my handling.
Any ideas? Your comments are appreciated!

No chainring, new BB, box etc. In perfect shape.$100 Will take a trade for some black 165 Miche cranks but doubt anyone has that...

http://www.raceface.com/components/cranks/113/

Oh yeah they are black. Work on road bikes too with the adjustable chainline.

The fitting instructions are quite good with the spacer count for all different combos of chainline etc. They spin very nicely when setup correct.
